UEH–CTD and Tsinghua University Advance Academic Exchange and Research Collaboration Through Strategic Partnership

On May 29, 2024, the College of Technology and Design (CTD), University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. The partnership marks an important milestone in strengthening academic collaboration between two leading higher education institutions in Vietnam and China, creating new opportunities for faculty exchange, student mobility, joint research, and international academic engagement.

Recognized as one of Asia’s most prestigious universities, Tsinghua University consistently ranks among the world’s leading institutions, while its Academy of Arts & Design is internationally renowned for excellence in art, design, and creative innovation. Through this partnership, students and faculty members from CTD will gain access to valuable opportunities for international learning, collaborative research, and exposure to global academic networks.

The agreement reflects a shared commitment to fostering an innovative academic environment where creativity, technology, and interdisciplinary collaboration can thrive. It also supports both institutions’ long-term vision of promoting sustainable development through education, research, and international cooperation.

Advancing Global Education, Research, and Creative Innovation

One of the first major initiatives under this partnership is the participation of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University as a co-organizer of ArtTech Fusion 2024, UEH’s international event series dedicated to the convergence of art, technology, design, and innovation. The collaboration is particularly significant given the Academy’s extensive experience in organizing large-scale creative projects, including contributions to the artistic and design programs of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

The partnership with Tsinghua University further demonstrates UEH–CTD’s ongoing commitment to expanding its global network of academic partners and enhancing the quality of education and research. Beyond Tsinghua, CTD has established collaborative relationships with numerous respected institutions worldwide, including Chulalongkorn University (Thailand), Saint Joseph University (Macau), Universiti Sains Malaysia (Malaysia), Pantheon Institute of Technology and Design (Italy), Dongseo University, and Kwangwoon University (South Korea).

Together, these international partnerships provide students with access to diverse learning environments, global perspectives, and interdisciplinary experiences that prepare them to become future-ready professionals and global citizens. By continuously strengthening international collaboration, UEH–CTD aims to create transformative educational opportunities while contributing to the advancement of knowledge, innovation, and sustainable development on a global scale.
